Medicinal Plant Profiles

Anisodus tanguticus A Solanaceae perennial herb native to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (2,800-4,500m). Roots contain tropane alkaloids, historically used for detoxification (Yuewang Yaozhen, 8th century). Anisodamine selectively improves microcirculation, vital in emergency medicine. 

Leonurus japonicus (Motherwort)A Lamiaceae annual herb documented in Shennong's Classic (1st c. CE). Contains leonurine/stachydrine, traditionally used to regulate menstruation (Compendium of Materia Medica). Clinically proven to balance uterine contractions and enhance blood flow.
